ALS Auction at VIDA!

We went to the VIDA Penthouse Pool Club’s ALS Silent Auction at The Yards to bid on items from the Capitals, Nationals, Shakespeare Theatre, and tickets to Newsies. We snapped U.S. Senate candidate (Maryland) Chrys Kefalas, The Tommy Show’s Tommy McFly and Kelly Collis, who were auctioned off for an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Mikel’s Patrick Bauer and Omnicom’s David Azulay.

VIDA Fitness donated 100% of proceeds to ALS Foundation's Augie’s Quest, which was founded by Life Fitness founder Augie Nieto, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2005. Here, Forest City’s David Smith, Steve Sparacino, Carrie Jenkins, Quiana Brewer and Jason Bonnet, who developed Twelve12.

Andrea Peet told the crowd of her harrowing story of living with ALS and thanked them for supporting Augie’s Quest. She's with her husband, Ropes & Gray’s Davd Peet; they're bookended by VIDA membership director Ali Burgess and Aura Spa manager Jacob Gough.

The benefit featured food from the Penthouse Pool Club’s new menu designed by DC Top Chef alum Spike Mendelsohn and Agua 301 Restaurant, music by DJ Alex Kouros, appearances from the Washington Wizard Girls and the Washington Nationals Racing Presidents. Here, Penthouse F&B director Matt Benkert, VIDA GM Richie Poe, Urban Adventures president David von Storch, brand marketing manager Olivier Le Ru-Riboulot and social media director Elise Chretien.
