Last night we joined the International Interior Design Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter in a beautiful collision of interior and exterior innovation at the Cosmo Couture Fashion & Design Show at The Howard Theater.
Over 700 guests enjoyed pre-fashion show cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before watching 25 unique creations on the runway. We snapped 94.7 Fresh FM morning show co-host Kelly Collis, her husband, Patrick Bauer, Momentum Group’s Carolyn Reig, and her husband, Derek.
Each design was a collaboration between local architecture and interior design firms partnered with manufacturers, inspired by DC museums, and made from 85% interior materials, such as tile, carpet, wood and vinyl.
Awards were given to Most Creative, Audience Favorite, Best Performance, and Best Interpretation of Theme. Here, event co-chairs Eight Day Design's Pedro Nunez, Knoll's Samantha Pennington, and judge FIIDA-HGA's Terry Perry.
Over the past five years, Cosmo Couture has donated $90k to local charities; this year it was Rebuilding Together DC, which revitalizes low-income homes in the metro area. Here, IIDA-MAC president Jennifer Kirby, and RTDC executive director Janice Stango and board president Lisa DuBois Headley.
