On the heels of the horrific attack that left 12 at Charlie Hebdo dead, vigils were held around the world, including here in DC. Yesterday morning, hundreds mourned outside the Embassy of France, according to Georgetown Patch, holding flowers and "Je suis Charlie" signs. Last night at The Newseum, despite the cold, a crowd of around 400 gathered to mourn the victims and support press freedoms. The Washington Post reports that IMF managing director Christine Lagarde joined the largely French crowd. The Newseum and French Embassy both posted on Twitter about the gathering:
