"I enjoy the complicated deals," says Ron, who chairs Seyfarth's DC real estate group. He spent 2.5 years repping the District in negotiations with Hines on CityCenter, and in the past year, worked on acquisitions, dispositions and development for the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust that add up to half-a-billion dollars. Another memorable deal can be seen from his office window: the 901 F St Gallup Building, the very first modern one in the East End, encompassing the historic Masonic Temple, in which he repped Karchem Properties and ICG. Ron grew up in Poughkeepsie, moved to Silver Spring in high school, and studied at GW (where he met his wife) and its law school. After a year doing civil litigation, he pivoted to real estate. He joined Seyfarth in '08 from Powell Goldstein, where he was real estate chair. Tomorrow, he has a busy day as 19 folks descend for Thanksgiving, a tradition of big crowds for more than 20 years.
