Rep. Cicilline Speaks With Williams Institute's Young Professionals

Rep. David Cicilline joined the Williams Institute for its young professionals evening at Agora DC last night. One of the first out gay congressmen, Cicilline spoke to the more than 70 guests about his efforts to advance LGBT rights. The Georgetown Law grad was introduced by Gibson Dunn DC founding partner and longtime Williams Institute supporter John Olson.

The Williams Institute is a UCLA Law-based think tank that focuses on sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy issues. Its research has been cited in numerous court cases. Last year, Justice Kennedy cited a Williams Institute amicus brief in his opinion in the same-sex marriage Supreme Court case.
