Here's Holland & Knight DC executive partner Paul Kiernan with his wife, Deputy White House Counsel Leslie Berger Kiernan, at Tuesday's State Dinner for French President Hollande. Leslie's a former Zuckerman & Spaeder partner and go-to for Democratic presidential candidates vetting potential VPs. Since she became partner, she and Paul also had four kids, now ranging from a senior in college to a sixth grader. Paul and Leslie have had extensive legal careers, but they met long before either had thought of law school. The two grew up in the same town of Harrington Park, NJ.
