October Outdoors

In the District, legal and real estate types are spending October outdoors. Holland & Knight and Akridge took to the National Mall this week to help with some cleanup in Constitution Gardens. Taking a breather from their raking are H&K DC executive partner Paul Kiernan, Akridge founder and chairman Chip Akridge, and National Park Service's James Pierce.

Here are some of the more than 30 folks who came along. (Doesn't the place look more beautiful already?) Aside from raking, they took on planting, weeding, mulching, and painting benches in the 770-acre park.
