Law firms are still making a splash in the ALS ice bucket challenge. Wiley Rein firm managing partner Peter Shields, getting doused above, was one of 10 from the firm to take the challenge. Communications partner Bennett Ross dumps the water while litigation partner Attison Barnes looks on, before their roles reversed. The firm was challenged by Wiley Rein alum Rebekah Goodheart, now associate bureau chief at the FCC's Wireline Competition Bureau. Other partners have a personal connection to ALS, including Christine Connelly, and John Burgett, who's past president of ALSA's DC/MD/VA chapter and served on its board until last year.

All of Kelley Drye's US offices took the ALS ice bucket challenge after a client challenged the NY office, which challenged the others in turn. Here's DC managing partner Lew Rose being doused outside of the firm's Georgetown office. The office had some fun with fundraising, from raffle tickets (for the honor of dumping water on your colleagues) to a voting system (to elect those on whom water is dumped). The measures raised more than $12,000.

Joseph Greenwald & Laake went a step further with its location and did the ice bucket dump behind a desk, wearing suits. Cary Hansel and Matthew Ling were challenged by a client and donated a portion of their fees to ALS research.

Crowell & Moring took on the ice bucket challenge in its lobby—soggy suits and floors be darned—thanks to management board member Scott Winkelman. A rubber duck, the firm's internal mascot, also got the ice bucket treatment before Scott did. (Is that the ice ducket challenge?)
