John Gaul is the SVP and General Counsel of Inova. He heads all legal affairs, including corporate governance, litigation, regulatory matters and transactional activity. The Northern Virginia-based not-for-profit healthcare system serves more than 2 million people each year in and around the DC area. From one hospital in 1956, it has grown to five hospitals with 16,000 employees. Before joining Inova, John was GC and Secretary to Sunrise Senior Living and a partner with Hogan & Hartson.
