Last night, Members of Congress shot hoops with the faculty of Georgetown Law. It was the 27th annual Home Court charity basketball game to benefit the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless.

The rousing game finished with the Capitol Hill's Angels winning 46-40 against the Hoya Lawyas, raising $600,000. (Or $1 for every cramp, pulled muscle, or extra hard breathing.) On the Trinity Washington University court, we snapped some of the Georgetown team: prof. Laura Donohue, dean William Treanor, dean Michael Frisch, and dean Mitch Bailin. Current students also get involved; the planning committee executive chair was 3L Andy Hogan.

So we're not quite sports photographers, but Rep. Tim Huelskamp was quite a moving target as he made his fourth basket of the night. (He also scored the first three of the night.) Others on the Hill's Angels team included Rep. Cedric Richmond, Rep. Thomas Carmody, Sen. Jeff Flake, Rep. Mike McIntyre, Rep. Thomas Rooney, and Rep. Cheri Bustos.

Here's Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless executive director Patty Mullahy Fugere with her daughter Genevieve. Patty co-founded the Clinic and has headed it since '91; she was on the board in '87 when Georgetown Law students thought of pitting Georgetown Law faculty against Congressmen for charity. She's only missed one Home Court game over the years. Now her daughter's a legislative assistant to Rep. McIntyre (whose jersey number, 7, they're retiring this year since he isn't seeking reelection) and starts at Georgetown Law in the fall.
