Atthe Atlantic Council's annual awards dinner Wedneday, we joined 700 top lawyers, business folks, and diplomatic personnel from 33 countries at the DC Ritz. WhenHillary Clinton was honored with the Distinguished International Leadership Award, she said there are three large issues facing the Atlantic alliance: energy, trade, and readiness (particularly with regard tocybersecurity). The Atlantic Council also launched its new Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center. Adrienne, far right, in addition to being a philanthropist, was the 11th woman admitted to the Delaware bar (her mother, the state's first female judge, was the fifth).

Henry Kissinger introduced Hillary. Legendary crooner Tony Bennett, left, sang a duet with Juanes, right,who was also given an award.That wasn't the only singing: there was a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Kissinger, who celebrates his 90th this month. Other honorees were NATO Secretary General and former prime minister of Denmark Anders Fogh Rasmussen and Chevron CEO John Watson.
