Vinson & Elkins' recent Casino Night benefited Team Red, White & Blue and the work the nonprofit does to support our veterans. At the second annual casino night, we snapped V&E DC managing partner Michael Charness and his wife, V&E government contracts partner Kathy Little. The firm had 260 attendees and raised $10k for Team RWB. (Here's last year's inaugural event.)
Here's Team RWB Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Brennan Mullaney with his girlfriend. A Maryland native, Brennan served in the US Army with two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Team RWB's mission is to enrich veterans' lives by connecting them to the community through physical and social activity and leadership development. The five-year-old nonprofit has more than 86,000 members.
We also snapped V&E government investigations and white collar co-chair Bill Lawler with government investigations partner Tirzah Lollar and associate Christine Roushdy. Attendees played blackjack, roulette and craps, had a beer tasting, sipped cocktails (such as the signature apricot bourbon fizz), and snacked on blackberry glazed beef short rib, tomato tarte tatin, seafood mac and cheese, adobe sirloin sliders with jalapeño mustard, rice paper rolls, and spicy tuna sashimi.
