Brian Williams' Lawyer

The fanfare surrounding Brian Williams' suspension is also putting a spotlight on a lawyer who represents business, political and celeb titans: Williams & Connolly's Robert Barnett. Ranked one of the most powerful people in entertainment by Entertainment Weekly, Barnett has represented everyone from Barack Obama to Barbra Streisand to Benazir Bhutto. CNNMoney reports that Barnett, who has represented Williams for "a number of years," was seen Monday at 30 Rock, the NBC News HQ. Another Barnett client, according to the Daily Beast, has been NBC News president Deborah Turness. It's the founder of Williams & Connolly, the late, great Edward Bennett Williams, who is said (by former client Bob Woodward) to have once stated, "I like to represent the situation."
