You've probably heard today that Speaker John Boehner announced he's planning to resign at the end of October. (Any guesses on where he'll go next?) We snapped this of him at BakerHostetler's annual policy seminar. A Boehner aide told The Hill that the Speaker had only intended to stay through the end of 2014 but extended after Eric Cantor's defeat. He added that Boehner feels "putting members through prolonged leadership turmoil would do irreparable damage to the institution [of the House]," and a Speaker's first job is to protect it. [Hill]
