DC's Banding Together battle of the lawyer bands has been a popular event for the past 16 years. This year it raised a record $303K to buy clothes for homeless District residents. Turns out, the idea's also spread across the country. This week, LA held its first Banding Together, raising funds for the Family Violence Appellate Group. Combined with a San Francisco event founded two years ago by two UC Berkeley law students, the two West Coast battles of the bands raised $219K. Above, Proskauer's Eric Remensperger on the guitar (the firm came in second to MoFo in LA). We're excited to see where this phenomenon will spread next.
