Ed Rendell Part Of Ballard Spahr's New Election Law Group

Ballard Spahr is launching a political and election law group, advising on campaign finance, redistricting and lobbying strategy.

The 15-lawyer team is led by Joe Kanefield (above),the former general counsel to Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer. Before that, Joe was the state election director in the AZ Secretary of State's office.

Other members of the new practice include former PA governor and DNC chair Ed Rendell; DNC vice chair Kenneth Jarin; and the finance committee chair for MD Gov. Martin O'Malley, Jon Laria. Kenneth is also a leader of the firm's government relations practice, which will work in conjunction with the new political and election law group.
