On top of the National Association of Realtors building this week, with great views of the Capitol and Washington Monument, DC Vote held its second annual 3 Star Ball. DC Vote works toward voting representation and full equality for the District. We snapped DC Vote executive director Kimberly Perry with a couple of the 150 guests: Fairfax legislative aide Martin Taylor and DC financial auditor David Brewer.

Edward "Smitty" Smith, right, was one of the hosts, along with DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid and DC Vote executive board members Vinoda Basnayake and Dannia Hakki. (You may remember Smitty from last year's DC Attorney General race.) We snapped Smitty, director of the DC Government's Justice Grants Administration, with DC Councilmember for Ward 1 Brianne Nadeau. The DC United and head coach Ben Olsen were honored with the Democracy All Star Award for their dedication to the goals of democratic equality for DC.
