The Quinoa Invasion Continues

The thirdlocation of Chicago-based Protein Bar will be opening next Thursday at 19th and K NW. It'll offer corporate catering and delivery for events of up to 300 people. The first 51 people to show up when it opens at 11am will get a free "Bar-rito"--so if you've been waiting for the right time to give quinoa a try, get on it. Protein Bar's rapid expansion continues: owner Matt Matros tells us they're close to signing their next lease in the Farragut Park area, and they're signed on to go into Federal Realty's Pike and Rose development opening in Rockville in 2015. Matt has his eye on Bethesda and Capitol Hill, but has nothing else concrete on the horizon.
