It’s 7pm on a Saturday and you want to impress a friend or a date with one of the hottest tables in town. Say, at Estadio, Mintwood Place or Tico. For a small fee, mobile app Resy (iOS, Android) just launched in DC and can help with the seemingly impossible. Mike Montero, Gary Vaynerchuk and Ben Leventhal are the founders. Ben, a GW grad also credited with founding Eater.com, felt the moment was right because the District is catching up to other foodie metropolises (New York, LA, Miami) that already have Resy. The cost ranges from free to $40 depending on demand, the number of people in your party and other factors.
