Pull Up a Stool—At The Piano!

Looking to refresh your nightlife options? You now have a piano bar! Starting tonight, you can belt out your favorite songs over cocktails at Georgetown Piano Bar. You can also request Piano Man as many times as you’d like—pianists Spencer Bates (left) and Hunter Lang (right) say they don’t mind a bit. See them in action from the best seat in the house—a bar stool actually at the piano.

The project is from Bill Thoet of NBP Group, LLC, who also happens to be EVP at Booz Allen Hamilton. “I’m known as the guy who takes my employees out to happy hour; now I have a place of my own to bring them to.” Bill is musically inclined, and once sang YMCA with former Director of Central Intelligence James Woolsey. Visit Georgetown Piano Bar Sun-Thurs from 5p.m. to 2a.m. and Fri-Sat from 5p.m. to 3a.m. While they don't serve food, they serve a host of musician-themed cocktails plus beer and wine. Find it at 3287 M Street NW.
