Now Open on 14th: Taqueria Nacional

Next door to BakeHouse, another affordable option has opened at 14th and T NW. Taqueria Nacional, from partners John Fulchino and Chef Anne Cashion, also opened its doors on Wednesday. The no-frills menu at this breakfast and lunch counter-service joint offers tacos, quesadillas, tostadas, and salads with your choice of meat. Additional sides include yucca fries, guacamole, and both vegetarian and refried beans. Tacos start at $2.50 a pop, while the other options top out at $7.50. Aguas frescas are available in seasonal flavors alongside two types of margaritas; all are housemade. Limited patio seating will be available by the end of June.
