No April Fools: Maketto is Opening

The pork bun prince who just received a James Beard nomination for Rising Star Chef of the Year, will open his second restaurant on April 10. Erik Bruner-Yang's Maketto has been a long time coming, presumably because it has many moving parts. The H Street NE restaurant will not only serve Erik and Chef de Cuisine James Wozniuk's signature Southeast Asian cuisine—it’ll also be a place to shop for DURKL clothing and other brands or sip on Vigilante Coffee in a marketplace atmosphere. Erik’s first restaurant, Toki Underground, located in the same neighborhood, continues to draw a crowd. Those eager to check out how Maketto turned out can enter as early as 7am on the 10th.
