On any given day, Jeff pops by two to four of the restaurants he’s responsible for, including Neighborhood Restaurant Group’s latest venture B Side. Each property has a carefully curated cocktail and spirits program, but The Partisan is perhaps Jeff’s centerpiece. Lately he’s been focused on upping the bar’s whiskey offerings.“ There are about 110 choices, including some rare ones, and I have no plans to stop,” he tells us. When it comes to cocktails, his idea of perfection is something simple—meaning no more than about four ingredients. We’re smitten with Iron Gate’s I Live For That Look, made with rye, Solstandet, Aquavit, Cynar, Cocchi Americano and salt.
