Less than two months after opening South Indian restaurant Malgudi in Glover Park, the team behind Heritage India has opened Crossroads, an eclectic, internationally themed restaurant. Owner Sanjeev Tuli (above, with Chef Ravi Narayanan) tells us that the restaurant's location at 19th and Penn, across the street from the IMF and World Bank, inspired him to create a multicultural concept to appeal to the institutions' international audiences. The menu is divided up by continent, offering dishes from Asia, Africa, Europe, and North and South America. (Sorry,emperorpenguins.)

Finding a chef well-versed in such a wide range of cuisines isn't easy. But Chef Ravi Narayanan spent 25 years opening Relais Chateaux hotels all over the world, masteringmany cuisines along the way. Crossroads will offer a raw bar, sushi bar, housemade charcuterie, and signature dishes like roasted eggplant, tomato beignets, and fried calamari withjalapeochips. But Heritage fans, don't fret. This space is actually divided into two restaurants, also housing the third Heritage India location--and both menus are available in eachspace.
