Herndon's Tech-Savvy Dining Marketing

The Town of Herndon has launched a new tech-savvytool to attract consumers to their dining scene. The website, www.DineOnHerndon.com, allows people to search the area's restaurants by name, category, cuisine type, location, and price range. It also lists local spots that offer online ordering, delivery, and free WiFi. Suburban towns like Herndon, Reston, and Falls Church have been making significant efforts to rebrand themselves as offering micro-urban lifestyle destinations through developments like Reston Town Center and the Mosaic District. Given the huge role that restaurants play in creating an urban atmosphere, Herndon's new site is right in line with these efforts. (Appetizers? There's an app for that.)
