Jeff Black's Blacksalt has long been known for its great seafood and inconvenient location.Cabs are basically nonexistent in the area, and though the restaurant was always happy to call one, wait times could get frustrating. To solve this, the restaurant launched an in-house car service last week that can be reserved up to a month ahead of time or booked on-the-spot for pickup and drop-off around DC. GM Jim Sole tells us that not only does this solve their cab-desert problem, it allows patrons to "make a whole experience out of a visit to Blacksalt." The town car will travel to and from various parts of town for a flat rate: Georgetown is $15, downtown DC $20, and VA and MD are $25--roughly on par witha regular cab.
