Butterfly Bash!

We went to the Fair Chance Butterfly Bash at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Every year, Fair Chance partners with 10 nonprofits serving DC youths to give them free one-on-one coaching and organizational management expertise. We snapped the News4 team, reporter David Culver, anchor Eun Yang and assistant news director Matt Glassman.

Washingtonian publisher Cathy Merrill Williams was honored for her dedication to youth-serving nonprofits in DC. She's surrounded by the night's emcee, 94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly, event co-chair and Compass Real Estate's Mandy Mills, Fair Chance founder Amanda Marshall, event co-chair and Solidcore owner Anne Mahlum, and Fair Chance executive director Gretchen Van der Veer.

Over 700 guests and 50 sponsors enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dancing, raising over $450k to achieve life-changing results for youths living in poverty. Here, Compass’ David Getson, the World Bank’s Roman Dmitriev, and The Mandy & David Team's Alix Sartorius.

Fair Chance is currently working with DC Youth Orchestra, The Grassroot Project, One Common Unity, Wise Young Builders, Young Playwrights’ Theater, Youth Leadership Foundation, Common Good City Farm and Groundwork Anacostia. Here, WFP’s Patrick Chauvin, Fair Chance board member JoJo Spallone and Kennedy Center membership director Myles King.
