Surely WeddingWire CEO Tim Chi is brushing up on his French and Spanish now that his Bethesda-based company is going global. The company announced this week it acquired Wedding Planner S.L., which operates online wedding sites across Europe and Latin America. The company says the acquisition makes it the global category leader, reaching 10 million unique visitors each month in 14 countries. The combined company will maintain its US HQ in Bethesda and European HQ in Barcelona, Spain.
