VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger and public sector VP Aileen Black were joined by over 300 at the company's new public sector HQs in Reston last week. Aileen says the 51,000 SF space will house 135 VMware employees, who support the virtualization and cloud infrastructure company's public sector and mid-Atlantic commercial customers. The space also has a customer briefing space for 174 people and several training rooms. Aileen says the new space illustrates the company's growing public sector business, with 90% of government's virtualized workloads on VMware. Some of its biggest fed customers include Navy, Social Security, IRS, and State.
