TandemNSI Seeing Big Growth

It’s been nine months since the launch of TandemNSI, a public-private partnership to help DC area advanced tech startups connect with national security agencies. Founder Jonathan Aberman, pictured at a Tandem event this summer with former US CTO Aneesh Chopra, says the organization has grown to over 2,500 individual members, 600 of them small businesses, and over 40 entrepreneurs have been mentored. He says there’s a growing community of startup entrepreneurs, but more pathways are needed, so the organization is hosting a Dec. 2 pitch event in Arlington for startups to present their advanced technology (think robotics, data analytics and cybersecurity) to judges from agencies that want new sources of innovation.
