Reston Tech Firms Got A Special Visitor

Startups were celebrated all over the country earlier this week for Startup-Day Across America, an event started four years ago to connect elected officials with startups. As part of that celebration, Reston-based Zoomdata and Augaroo were visited by US CTO Megan Smith. The former Google exec saw product demos by husband-and-wife tech team Justin (Zoomdata) and Tatiana (Augaroo) Langseth and talked about better ways to get more Americans involved in technology through re-skilling programs. They also talked about how Data.gov could be enhanced with more big data and real-time content through tools like Zoomdata. The Northern Virginia Tech Council helped arrange the visit.
