Most companies would be scared to see this many kids at their front door. But Aquilent, a Laurel, MD-based federal tech solution provider, fully embraced yesterday's Take Your Kids To Work Day. (Everyone, be sure to check behind your water coolers this morning for any stragglers.) The 50 kids who participated used their own experience of “working” in their classrooms to design new office space to fit more people in a growing company. Each child received sample requirements, sheets of printed shapes (desk, chairs, plants) and sample blueprints. Now Aquilent won’t have to hire an interior designer for its upcoming expansion.
