Only 8% of federal IT execs are confident they could recover all of their agency's data if there were a disaster like last year's Hurricane Sandy. That's according to a new MeriTalk study sponsored by NetApp and SwishData. At least 70% give their agency an "A" or "B" in data backup and disaster recovery preparedness. Imagine the risk of losing a sliver of data: Just 1% of Social Security recipients is equal to the entire DC population. And on top of that, NOAA is predicting a busy hurricane season, which started last Saturday.
