San Jose, Calif.-based Haystax Technology recently acquired Digital Sandbox, a threat and risk analysis and monitoring software firm in McLean, Va. Digital Sandbox co-founder Anthony Beverina tells us he'll continue to run the company as a subsidiary of Haystax, with his co-founder Bryan Ware, who was named Haystax's CTO. There's no West Coast moves in the 40-person company's future, but it now has access to Haystax's experienced managers-- who once ran Applied Signal Technology and sold it to Raytheon. Its financial backing will also help Digital Sandbox expand beyond its defense and intel customers to corporations that could use it for asset and brand protection.
