CIOs and CTOs Celebration

Some of the DC region’s top CIOs and CTOs stepped away from their computers Thursday night to be honored at Disruption in Crystal City. They came from high-flying startups, publicly traded companies and  government agencies, and they were chosen for their innovation and leadership of some of the most complex IT systems. SAIC board member Deb Dunie (right) brought Jeff Hart, Andy Steinem, and her husband, Justin Dunie.

comScore CTO Mike Brown (right) chats with Zuora's Vivek Reddy and QTS' James Gohng. Mike leads a 325-person team at comScore and helped launch the company in 1999.

Corporate Executive Board CIO Price Jett (right), here with Ram Prassad, was also honored Thursday night. He's been CIO for the last 13 years and oversees over 400 people. He also had a pet horse as a child and taught it how to fetch and count.

Kit Check CTO Colin daSa (middle) brought colleagues Jessie Spressart, Tim Kress-Spatz, his wife, Zita deSa, and Kevin MacDonald. He's been on the job a little over a year and oversees a growing team of engineers that's grown to around 20 in the last 18 months.

iMapData CTO Hugo Borda is flanked by Cabot Consultants Tom Berray and friend Kayoko Terasawa. Hugo’s McLean-based company helps clients with risk management and business continuity solutions. Hugo’s been in charge of the technology for a little over a year.

We don't always interrupt conversations to snap pictures. Here's Noblis CTO Gil Miller chatting away with a friend. He's been with the nonprofit science, tech and strategy organization the last eight years.

Two honorees, Freddie Mac CIO Rob Lux and Howard Hughes Medical Institute CIO Mohamoud Jibrell, chat with Pentaho's Jerome Lintz.

US Fish & Wildlife Service CIO Ken Taylor (right) caught up with colleague Bruce Decker. Ken’s federal career spans 31 years, including working for DOD, Census, Commerce, and Interior. He’s been information resources assistant director and CIO of FWS for the last five. He’s also moved around as a military brat and has lived in Hawaii, Kansas and North Carolina.

ASAE CIO Reggie Henry (middle) had colleagues Susan Robertson and John Graham surrounding him, along with his wife.

Big thanks to our partners on this project: Eastern Foundry, CWPS, Cabot Consultants, and Enlightened.
