Is it OK to admit to a secret crush on IBM Watson? Yes, it’s just a cognitive computing system, but it just blew our minds by announcing the release of a cookbook. Watson will debut next week Cognitive Cooking with Watson, a 65-recipe cookbook that came out of a three-year collaboration between IBM, the Institute of Culinary Education and Sourcebooks. Watson learned about food pairing theories and hundreds of thousands of relationships between flavor compounds and put together recipes with unusual ingredient combos. According to Eater, some of them include Turmeric Paella, Kenyan Brussels Sprouts and Swiss Thai Asparagus Quiche. The book will be unveiled next week at Barnes & Noble in DC and several dishes will be available for tasting. You had us at "cognitive cooking."
