Arlington Advocate Joins Startup

Arlington-based LiveSafe has hired TandemNSI director Jennifer Ives as its strategic growth director, starting full-time next month. She'll help the organization continue to expand its community-safety mobile technology for universities to other markets. Jennifer helped run TandemNSI, an organization launched in February and partly funded by Arlington County to bring cybersecurity startups together with federal agencies. She also spent several years in Arlington County Economic Development, wooing companies (many of them tech) and federal agencies. LiveSafe, launched in 2012, raised $6.5M in March, and was funded by CIT last November.
