Another DC Tech Startup Gets Acquired

DC startup Veenome announced today it was acquired by New York-based Integral Ad Science, a 200-person global company. Veenome’s tech team will remain in Fairfax, while Veenome founder Kevin Lenane (snapped this morning) will split his time between Integral’s NY HQ and growing a large development team in Fairfax. The two companies, which started working together a few years ago, will offer a richer analysis of digital ads, says Kevin. Integral analyzes the quality of the media digital ads are served on and determines the ad’s value for buyers and sellers, including advertising agencies, Fortune 100 advertisers, ad networks and exchanges, and publishers. Integral was interested in Veenome’s ad video expertise, specifically its unique ability to index online video content at scale.
