Amazon's Workforce Grows

Amazon added 18,000 new workers worldwide just in the last quarter, growing its workforce 10%. The company has grown to 183,100 employees as of June 30, a near 40% increase in the past year, reports GeekWire. The majority was in operations, specifically the company’s fulfillment centers (like this one in Scotland) and call centers. [GW]
