Amazon's Max Peterson shed more light on why the company is expanding its web services business to Herndon, Va., at our Future of Dulles Corridor event in Reston, Va., last Friday. Business is booming with small businesses delivering its solutions using the company's cloud service. On top of that, large firms are helping government and educational institutions do the same thing. The company will hire 500 new people in sales, service, support, and solution architecture to support IT and engineering services. The expansion into 108k square feet officially took place last month at Monument IV at the Worldgate complex.
