501cTECH recently named its annual Technology Innovation Awards winners, which are cash-strapped nonprofits that get $7,500 to put towards bringing innovative projects to life. Hopecam, the Arc of Northern Virginia and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors won; it's the 12th year the DC-based organization has been making awards. 

Hopecam CEO Susan Koehler with CenturyLink’s Jason Bobb. Hopecam will purchase software and technology to better connect children in cancer treatment with their communities. The Arc of Northern Virginia will use its winnings as seed money for the development and launch of a program to help people with intellectual and development disabilities find work. The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors will use its money to develop a mobile app for its annual military survivor seminar and good grief camp for families grieving the death of a loved one serving in the military.
