New Kids On The Block: Office Tenants And Developers

Shaw and Mt. Vernon Triangle have been steadily attracting major office tenants, along with developers coming in from other parts of the region and other states.

Some of Mt. Vernon Triangle’s new office tenants include the Association of Medical Colleges arriving over a year ago at 655 K St NW, Arnold & Porter at 601 Mass Ave NW, Advisory Board at 655 New York Ave NW (above), the DC Bar at 901 4th St NW, and Venable at 600 Mass Ave.

Boston Properties, which has its stamp all over the DC region, entered the Mt. Vernon Triangle market by developing Arnold & Porter’s 375k SF space. New York firm Ogden CAP, which owns the Jefferson Hotel, also scooped up a Mt. Vernon Triangle nugget two years ago—450 K St NW, a 323-unit luxury apartment building with ground-floor retail.
