Adams Morgan: One of America's Greatest

To some, Adams Morgan might be the setting for late-night shenanigans or Jumbo Slice—or both—but to the American Planning Association, it's much more. That's why the APA just announced the area as one of the 10 Great Neighborhoods in America, joining spots like Savannah's Victorian District, Seattle's Fremont neighborhood, and Richmond's Fan District. The APA recognizes spots that have a "true sense of place, cultural and historical interest, community involvement, and a vision for tomorrow." The org also just announced its 10 Great Streets in the US, and DC's Pennsylvania Avenue grabbed one of the coveted spots.
