The development team behind NoMa's three-building Armature Works project has secured a new hotel brand after terminating its previous deal in 2019.

Trammell Crow subsidiary High Street Residential and its partners reached a deal with Hilton Worldwide to bring a Curio Collection brand, The Morrow, to the development at 1200 Third St. NE, the Washington Business Journal reports.

The deal comes after the development team in 2019 backed out of an agreement with Denihan Hospitality to brings its James Hotel brand to the project. Trammell Crow Mid-Atlantic leader Campbell Smith told Bisnow in 2019 that the team reassessed the hotel component after bringing MetLife on as an equity partner.

Hilton's Curio Collection includes about 100 hotels with their own individual branding and design. The Morrow is slated to be the only Curio Collection hotel in D.C. after the last one, The Darcy Hotel, was sold in 2018 and the new owner brought on a new management company.

The Armature Works project, featuring a 203-room hotel and two apartment buildings totaling 630 units, broke ground in October 2019 after closing its financing deal. The team also includes KochSmith Capital and the Central Armature Works ownership family.

The hotel is scheduled to deliver next spring. It will feature 6K SF of outdoor event space, 15K SF of food and beverage space and a rooftop lounge.
