You've Got a Friend on Capitol Hill

Know which lawmakers are nicest to associations? Reps Pat Tiberi, an Ohio Republican pictured here, and Mark Pocan, a Wisconsin Democrat. They'll get ASAE’s Sentinel Awards today during American Associations Day. ASAE says Tiberi, a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, advocates for associations as the committee looks to reform the tax code. Pocan is a former association executive and ASAE member and has advocated for federal employee attendance at association meetings. The awards will be presented during a reception on Capitol Hill as part of ASAE’s annual legislative fly-in.
