The National Retail Federation is taking a page from the financial services sector and launching an information-sharing platform on cyber attacks. The platform will be used by information security specialists in the retail industry, with the potential for the launch of an Information Sharing and Analysis Center. (The financial sector already has one of these.) NRF CEO Matt Shay says coordination will help retailers fight against cyber attacks. NRF reps recently had in-depth talks with the US Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies for guidance on how to improve communication, identify available resources, and collaborate more effectively.
