We’ve spent the last few weeks profiling some of the most innovative people in the association world, and they all came together for the grand celebration last Wednesday in Crystal City. Our camera went crazy snapping all the innovators and their fan base.

BSA: The Software Alliance’s Phil Rice (left) chatted with The Moery Co’s Scott Lindley and CadmiumCD’s Joe Felperin. Among Phil’s innovative initiatives was overhauling the way the software industry association calculates dues. Fifty options were on the table, so it likely took innovation and a stress ball or two.

American Urological Association’s David DeLorenzo and his wife Christine with National Community Pharmacists Association’s Kurt Proctor. David has been associate executive director since last May and helped launch a digital-first strategy.

Center for the Future of Museums founding director Elizabeth Merritt and CWPS’ Andrew Terwilliger. Elizabeth’s organization helps museums with forecasting and trend analysis. (What's the over/under on groups of school children touching something they shouldn't?) She hails from Cleveland and went to Yale, Duke and the University of Houston.

Like many honorees, State Services Organization’s Steve Roberts (left) brought family and colleagues. He’s here with his daughter Jessica, wife Susan and colleague Nikki Hecht. GRAPHEK Design Studio’s Walter Kim was also on hand to celebrate. Steve’s organization added association management to its service offerings.
