Meet NRF's Interns

Washington offices fill with interns every summer. And the National Retail Federation joined the fray this year. The DC association launched its first intern program, bringing on four college students (here with CEO Matthew Shay) to learn the ins and outs of the retail industry. SVP Ellen Davis says the program is another way to show college kids that a retail career can include jobs in finance, social media, marketing, and law. The paid interns are working on everything from marketing materials to planning NRF Student Association functions and other events to finance and accounting. Ellen says NRF will expand the internship program next summer.
