The midterms elections didn’t just turn over the Senate to the Republicans. It also brought in the largest class of Latinos in history, says the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational Fund. This includes Ruben Gallego, a Democrat from Arizona. Representation in the US House increased by one (total in House: 29). The 114th Congress will also feature a change in partisan composition among Latinos, from 23 Dems and five Repubs to 22 Dems and seven Republicans. State exec offices also now have 12 Latinos leading them, an increase of two.
