Golfing For Youth

Johnny Holliday, the "Voice of the Maryland Terrapins," hosted his 9th Annual Golf Scholarship Classic yesterday at the Bretton Woods Golf Course in Germantown, Md. Sponsored by Qbase, it raised over $120k for the Youth Leadership Foundation, a nonprofit that helps DC-area at-risk youth to improve their study skills and personal habits. Funds also go to the Johnny Holliday Scholarship Fund, which helps high-performing YLF students attend the University of Maryland. During the awards ceremony, Johnny presented his Community Champion Award to ABC7/WJLA-TV's Leon Harris for his community leadership and helping to provide educational opportunities for local youth.
